A contemplative and peaceful service with beautiful and inspirational music.
Candlemas is a Christian festival honouring when Mary went to the Temple to be purified after the birth of her son, Jesus, and to present him to God as her firstborn. Candlemas is also known as the festival of light; a celebration of the lengthening of days. Candles will be blessed and given to those in attendance. You can also bring a candle from home to be blessed.
Music will include Walmisley's Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D minor, Tallis's Festival Preces and Responses and a lovely choral anthem by Eccard entitled "When to the Temple Mary Went.”
This service will include the singing of canticles and anthems by the choir, hymns sung together as a congregation and the recitation of the prayers particular to the day.
You can attend this service in-person or online via Zoom.

Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols Service
Enjoy a simple service of words and music, marking the completion of our Christmas season. Outside, the carols may have stilled and the bustle now focused on Boxing Week sales, but inside the church, we are still celebrating the Incarnation.
This service is available in-person and online via Zoom. To join this service, click on the link when it’s time or enter the Meeting ID and passcode.

June 7 is Spirit Sunday
Please bring non-perishable items for Pantry
On Spirit Sundays: we creatively cultivate space for us to listen to what the Spirit is saying to the church. This regularly leads us to explore different topics, spiritual practices, and liturgies. Then, together, we are emboldened to go out into the world where the Spirit is guiding us. While this is not a service focused on children, it is an intergenerational service that all generations can participate in.
June 17 is Seniors' Eucharist & Strawberry Tea
You are cordially invited to our Seniors' Eucharist and Strawberry Tea, which will take place on Wednesday June 17th. Celebrate the coming of summer with friends, familiar and new. The service is offered in person and online; afterwards, a tea will be held in the Parish Hall.
Please let the Parish Office know if you plan to attend in-person (office@stmaryskerrisdale.ca or 604-261-4228).
June 21 is Choir Appreciation Day
St. Mary’s choir brings joy to our community through their dedication and harmony. Their music is a special part of what makes St. Mary’s unique. On June 21, during Coffee Hour after the 10 a.m. service, we will hold a special event to thank our choir for all they have contributed over the past year.
June 21 is Sundaes on Sundays
Come and enjoy some ice cream and toppings following the 10 a.m. service.
June 21 is Summer Solstice Service on the Labyrinth
Join us on June 21 at 7 p.m. for a spiritual service on our Labyrinth. This contemplative walk marks the summer solstice and invites gratitude for creation. Participants are welcome to walk at their own pace as they reflect and release burdens along the way.
