Walking the Labyrinth
There are many ways to describe a labyrinth. It is a path of prayer, a walking meditation, a representation of the sacred journey, and a vehicle for relaxation. People often report a feeling of peace, and well-being as they walk the labyrinth. Labyrinths are currently being used worldwide as a way to quiet the mind, find balance, and encourage meditation, insight and celebration.
Four years ago, we integrated a labyrinth into the gym floor when it was refinished. It is a full-sized replica of the one in Chartres. The labyrinth is open for public use, and we have a guild which periodically organizes events for both parishioners and the outside community.
